Every sector of the economy is looking for ways to save on energy. Farms, especially mechanized ones, are no different – their owners are figuring out how to increase profitability by, for example, cutting electricity expenses.
The answer is photovoltaics and producing energy from the sun for personal use. Photovoltaics really protect against rising energy costs. PV-skeptics may state: “to benefit, you have to invest. What about the expense of photovoltaic modules and their installation?”
So how do you finance on-farm photovoltaics?
25% of the cost can be deducted through a tax credit if you pay agricultural tax (Article 13 of the Law on Agricultural Tax 2017 (Journal of Laws 2016, item 617)). Importantly, the investment tax credit for photovoltaics can be settled within 15 years of the completion of the investment..
Government projects come to the rescue, such as the Agroenergy program, which provides subsidies for photovoltaics of up to PLN 25,000. (Installation power greater than 30 kW and less than or equal to 50 kW, percentage of eligible costs up to 13%).
It is worth knowing that during the period of the highest activity of the photovoltaic installation the most is also needed on the farm. A farmer who decides to microinstall and installs PV modules becomes a prosumer. If he adds a heat pump, he meets his energy needs on his own.
The farm is not only agricultural!
On the occasion of the thread of photovoltaics for the farmer, it is impossible not to touch on the subject of photovoltaic farms, where energy is “grown”. Thanks to the area with PV modules, these power plants convert solar energy into electricity, which in turn is transmitted to the general power grid. Photovoltaic farms range in size from 0.5 to a few or a dozen MegaWatts (MW) and supply electricity to a municipality, county or region.
According to the Energy Regulatory Office: at the end of June 2021, there were 82 photovoltaic installations in Poland with a capacity greater than or equal to 1 MW (the largest of which was 8 MW). Year-on-year, there was a 36.7% increase in the number of farms.
EcoSun is thriving in the RES industry, working with the best suppliers. We have supplied PV cells for investments carried out by our partner, BMGroup. This cooperation has resulted in the creation of solar farms (solar power plants), including in Bukowiec and Maluszyn. Mogą powstać także na Twojej działce, o powierzchni 1 ha lub więcej. Warto zarabiać na gruncie odnawialnych źródeł energii. They can also be built on your plot of land, of 1 hectare or more. It’s worth making money on the land of renewable energy sources. This is what the photovoltaic fam looks like
EcoSun is a high-quality solution for the RES industry – especially for photovoltaics.
